The Urban Divers is a 501 c3 not for profit environmental and cultural organization that is committed to active participation in the restoration, conservation, protection, as well as public education for our rivers, oceans and marine wildlife with a special focus on the urban estuary, and the community that lives, learns, works and plays in and along its shores. The Urban Divers operates upstream and down stream of the urban estuary. It conceived and established the Harlem River /Hudson River Ecology Center and the South Brooklyn Harbor EnviroMedia Mobile - a unique urban nature center for environmental education, community stewardship, culture and maritime. The center offers a host of exhibits and family programs that inspires rediscovering and learning about the significance of the living nature of our urban estuary and watershed. Through its centers it provides a robust environmental education through recreation programs, conservation support and scientific diving and stewardship opportunities.
