Handbell Musicians of America (formerly known as the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers,AGEHR) is a non-profit music oganization established in 1954. It’s primary objectives are to educate, promote the exchange of ideas relating to handbell and handchime ringing, and sponsor educational activities. The Guild's membership of approximately 7,000 includes ringers, directors,composers and enthusiasts of handbell and handchime music. The Guild is divided into 12 geographic Areas. Members of the Guild seek to carry out the motto, "Uniting People through a Musical Art."
